NATIONAL PARK REGION :
The Chitwan National park lies at the distance of 165 km from Kathmandu in the inner Terai southern central lowland in the Narayani Zone, with a latitude 270 34.78' to 270 35.53' N and longitude of 840 28.4 3' to 840 29.40' E. Mid-development regions of

Nepal. The Park is covering an area of 932 sq. km.
The Park has great diversity of eco systems including the Churia hill range, which rise gradually to ward the east from 150 to over 800meter and the western portion of the park, include lower but most rugged someshowor hill range.
The park covers flood plains of Rapti, Rew and Nayarani Rivers and several Ox-bow lakes. The park shares its eastern boundary with the Parsa wildlife reserve and Churia, Rew River and sameshowor hill ranges in the south, Rapti and Narayani Rivers in the north and West.
